Suggestions for buyers looking at HUD-Owned homes:

Not all agencies are authorized by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). To become an authorized bidder, an agent's broker must file an extensive application, provide substantial background information and submit detailed personal information to HUD to assure that the broker and all of the agents operate in a highly professional and ethical manner. The review process takes several weeks. If you are considering making a bid on a HUD-owned home and your agent is not already authorized to bid on HUD homes, you need to find an agent who is already authorized -- the timeframe for authorization approval is too long for you to have any chance of getting your agent approved and still allow time to submit a successful bid. We have agents that are certified HUD agents, who have completed classes with HUD. Of course, all Exit Elite Partners Realty agents can place bids on HUD-Owned properties. We have access to property condition reports, appraisals and other information to make your bidding decisions easier. And, we have the expertise to submit winning bids.
